Urgent Care

The highly-trained team at Skyline Veterinary Specialists are available to treat pets who are suffering from life-threatening trauma and disease. We’re also available for transfers from your primary care veterinarian as well as for walk-in urgent care needs and emergencies.

We know that every second counts when it comes to helping your pet feel better. Our facility is equipped with continuous cardiac telemetry, pulse oximetry, blood pressure, in-house laboratory, digital radiographs (x-rays) and ultrasound. For pets that need oxygen supplementation, we have ICU units that provide an oxygen-enriched and humidity controlled environment.

Veterinary cardiology is a specialty discipline that focuses on diseases and abnormalities of the heart. Certain diseases and conditions of the heart require the care of a doctor who has specialized intensive training in veterinary cardiology to provide the best outcome for your pet.

Our cardiologist works closely with your primary care veterinarian to provide diagnosis and ongoing management of many types of heart disease such as:

  • Cardiac (heart) failure
  • Cardiac arrhythmias
  • Cardiac murmur
  • Congenital heart disease
  • Acquired heart disease
  • Hypertension and hypotension (high and low blood pressure)

The services offered by our cardiologist include a full physical exam followed by specific cardiology diagnostics such as:

  • Electrocardiography (ECG)
  • Echocardiography (heart ultrasound)
  • Heart radiography (x-rays)
  • Blood pressure evaluation

Internal Medicine

Our veterinary team is experienced in treating a wide range of illnesses or symptoms that may be affecting your pet’s overall health. Sometimes, what’s affecting your pet cannot be seen by the naked eye, this is where our team thrives. We use all of the information we have like your pet’s health history, lab results, and imaging techniques like x-ray, endoscopy, and ultrasounds to diagnose them.

The Skyline Veterinary Specialists Surgery Department cares for patients who have a variety of soft tissue and orthopedic conditions. Surgeries that we perform include emergency abdominal surgery, ACL surgery, tumor removal surgery, fracture repair, and more. Our board-certified veterinary surgeon works closely with our urgent care, cardiology, and internal medicine departments to provide comprehensive team-based care. We will make sure that your veterinarian remains involved with your pet’s care, and they will receive copies of all medical records and lab results.
